Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Capistrano Elementary School.  Administrators and teachers everywhere recognize the important contributions parents make toward a child’s success in school. One of the most important components of a good school is the partnership between the school and the parents when they work together in the best interest of children.  Capistrano School has dedicated teachers and staff that provide the best possible education for your child.  The close partnership between home and school is one that all of us here at Capistrano Elementary School strive to develop on a daily basis.  We invite you to continue to participate and be active in our school events and activities. The number one thing you can do to help us, is to have your child at school, on time, each and every day.  This shows a great commitment to the importance of education.  School is ALL 5 days a week!

The staff at Capistrano continues to work diligently to provide the best California State Standards instruction while also identifying individual student needs and addressing them.  We want all of our students to have the ability to enjoy reading and be competent in basic math skills.  In order to meet these expectations we provide additional services to students in need.  We look forward to your support in this educational goal.  We still believe in the following basic tenants at Capistrano School:

We are a Community of Learners

Our vision is to create a community of respectful, responsible, collaborative learners.  Students will learn to reach their potential through high expectations, a strong work ethic, and quality instruction in a safe and disciplined environment.  We will challenge our students to become lifelong learners and productive members of society in the 21st century.

Our Mission is to provide each of our students with a rigorous academic education, a safe learning environment, along with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for success.
